Market Day

We have had profits of $489 for the first two months for Market Day sales.

Thanks to everyone who ordered and to all the volunteers that have helped with the sorting process on pick-up days.

We will be receiving our first check soon.  From October until December we made $67.00 from internet searches and online shopping!  Please check it out and disignate Smithton P.T.O. as your charity of choice.  Every penny counts!  Remember it's goodsearch.com and from there you can link to the goodshop.com option.

Winter 2008 / Newsletter
501(c)3 Status:

We are continuing to work on the IRS form for our tax status.  It is a lengthy form, but we will have it completed soon.  It will be mailed to the IRS with the appropriate funds of $750.  These funds were donated to us by the Commercial Club.  We appreciate the support from our community.  This tax status will allow all donations made directly to the P.T.O to be tax deductible.

Santa's Cottage

Final totals are in and we made a profit of $208.00.  The children had a great time and enjoyed shopping for parents/siblings/grandparents.  This is the main reason we do this event, for the kids.  Thanks to all the volunteers that helped the kids shop, the cashiers and the gift bag stuffers.  The bake sale was enjoyed by many and we took in $88.00.  Thanks to all who donated the yummy cookies!
