Childcare is Available for PTO Meetings!

Our monthly meetings offer child care for a small fee.  Michelle Jones is our Child Care Coordinator.  Her Girl Scout troop has been certified through Memorial Hospital for babysitting.  During our PTO meetings, your child will do an activity and play games.  The cost is $3.00 per child.  No infants please.  The fee covers the cost of the activity and the rest helps the troop with their fieldtrips to earn badges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is a Quarter Auction?
A. A Quarter Auction  is a cross between an auction and a raffle where people win prizes donated from local businesses and various home business vendors participating in the event. Each patron can either purchase an "all in auction paddle" which gives them a chance to win every prize offered for the whole evening,  OR the patron can purchase an auction paddle for a lesser price, but has to deposit a varying amount of quarters for each item they would like to win.  Either way, it's a fun evening for your group of friends.  Bring your own snacks, and Turner Hall will have a CASH bar.  Save the date, and plan on having a great time.

Q. You call it an "auction".  Will I be bidding against other people?

A. No, it is more like a raffle drawing.  Each person has a number, and if your number is drawn then you win the prize.  The only similarity to an auction is that you hold up what looks like an auction paddle.

Q. Please explain the "depositing quarters" thing.

A.  Each item that is up to be won has a different price range.  The more valuable the prize, the more quarters it takes to win that prize.  If you did not buy an all in paddle, then you will have to put in the number of quarters necessary to win that prize.  It's all based on the value of the prize.  The best value for the evening would be the "all in paddle" that can be purchased for $25.00.  It will give you the chance to win every item.

Q.  Unfortunately, I can't come to the auction.  Is there a way I can still participate?

A.  Yes!  You can still purchase an "all in paddle" for $25.00 and someone else will watch your number for you.  Even though you are not present you may still win a great prize, and support your school.
